Mr. Anđelko Kaščel, founder and CFO of the company Laser Ing, was a guest on the HRT show ‘Global Croatia’, where he presented the benefits of opening a Croatian Chamber of Commerce (HGK) office in Austria.

 

His long experience in leading a company that is a leader in the metal processing industry in the Croatian market, as well as his rich experience at the helm of specialized companies abroad, allow Mr. Anđelko Kaščel, founder and CFO of Laser Ing, not only relevant introspection and analysis of opportunities in the metal processing industry market in Croatia but also a profound comparison with the same market in Austria.

On the occasion of the recent opening of the Croatian Chamber of Commerce office in Vienna, he appeared on the HRT show ‘Global Croatia’ and commented on the opportunities for entrepreneurs in Croatia today, as well as the reasons why his company, a regional leader in metal processing and a key supplier for renowned companies in the European Union, operates in both markets, Croatian and Austrian.

 

“Despite using the same machines, having the same customers who market the same prices, in Austria we can achieve much greater profit than in the Republic of Croatia, thanks to developed industrial culture, profitability, productivity, etc. That is precisely why Austria remains more interesting for business,” highlighted Mr. Kaščel.

 

Experience working in both markets also brings Mr. Kaščel some important insights. When starting a business in the Republic of Croatia, he encountered administrative challenges that are not the standard of business in the West. On the other hand, he opened the company’s branch in Austria with ease.

 

“In Austria, an entrepreneur is treated as someone who brings added value, an important contribution to the community that benefits from him. Unfortunately, this is still quite slow in our country,” concludes Mr. Kaščel.

 

The Croatian Chamber of Commerce is aware that companies oriented towards the western market entering the Schengen and Eurozone will contribute to their business. That is precisely why the Representation in Vienna was recently opened with the important task of providing support to Croatian entrepreneurs.

Austria is our extremely important foreign trade partner and definitely a logical and justified choice because of the Croatian Chamber of Commerce. Austria is the sixth Croatian export partner and the fifth foreign trade partner of Croatia,” emphasized Luka Burilović, director of the Croatian Chamber of Commerce on the occasion of the opening of the HGK’s representation in Vienna.
